Completed in 1991, US Foods is composed of a 21,000 S.F. sub-zero freezer, a 8,000 S.F. refrigerated cooler, and a 136,000 S.F. dry storage warehouse.  The arrangement of the three main components is designed to facilitate desired loading practices while minimizing cold air loss from the coolers.  The freezer employs conventional building components essential to the effects of freezing temperatures on the surrounding environment.  These include a Glycol-base slab, column isolation from footings, and engineered slab joints.  A two-story office area provides for customer service/sales on the ground floor and administrative operations on the second floor.
