Located on Goose Island near the downtown area, Federal Express was able to capitalize on tax-incremented financing in an enterprise zone provided by the city.  This facility allows Federal Express to consolidate several smaller terminals into a single hub with access to nearby Interstate 90/94. The facility can accommodate over 120 local delivery trucks to handle the inbound and outbound flow of packages.
